Cross Country in Tulsa for C-USA Championships

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - The Marshall University men's and women's cross country team is at the University of Tulsa for the 2010 Conference USA Cross Country Championships to be run Monday morning at the Indian Springs Country Club.

The women's 5K race starts the morning with the gun firing at 9 a.m. The men follow approximately one hour later on the 8K trails.

Matt Schiffbauer looks to improve upon his 8th place finish of a year ago at the championships as he and David Caldwell lead the men's squad. The men finished fourth overall as a team at the 2009 C-USA Championships hosted by Houston.

Heather Saffel has paced the MU women's team all season long and looks to guide the Herd to the top of the field. The freshman has been the first MU finisher in the past three races.
