Herd Gives ECU First Taste of Conference Action

The Marshall University softball team dropped a pair of games at UNC Greensboro on Wednesday afternoon and is looking to improve its 15-14 record when it makes the trek to Greenville to face East Carolina (13-11) in a three-game weekend series.

The Thundering Herd enters the contest with a 1-5 Conference USA record and will face a Pirate squad that has yet to be tested in C-USA play.

Saturday's doubleheader will begin at 1 p.m., while Sunday's game is slated for a noon start.
