Lynch Earns Conference USA Female Golfer of the Week

IRVING, Texas- Marshall University's women's golfer Larie Lynch was named Conference USA's Female Golfer of the Week announced Wednesday by conference officials. The award is her second of the season, her first came on September 16, 2009. It's also the third of her career.

Lynch led the Thundering Herd to a second place finish, as it hosted the Lady Herd Spring Classic at Sleepy Hollow Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.

Lynch shot a season-low 72 on the final day of the Classic to secure a three-stroke, (74-72=146) first place victory over Michelle Hui of Toledo(79-70=149). Lynch's victory was her second for a Lady Herd tournament, her first coming at the Lady Herd Fall Classic during her sophomore season.

The Thundering Herd returns to action on April 5th and 6th when it travels to the Tina Barrett Longwood Invite in Farmville, Va. for the two day event.
