MARSHALL MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY EARNS ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM HONOR

NEW ORLEANS – Marshall University’s men’s cross country program has earned the distinction of being a 2010 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team for its outstanding overall team grade point average of 3.10.

For a team to be considered for USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award, they must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA Regional Championship and also have a minimum 3.0 team cumulative GPA.

Marshall joins Rice University and the University of Tulsa as the only Conference USA schools to make the list.

Oklahoma State earned the Scholar Team of the Year Award which goes to the program that earned All-Academic Team honors and placed the highest among the field at the NCAA Cross Country Championships. The Cowboys won the NCAA Championship in November.
