No. 57 Marshall Rolls Past UNC Greensboro, 7-0

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The No. 57 Marshall University women's tennis team swept singles on its way to blanking UNC Greensboro 7-0 in the Thundering Herd's regular season finale at the UNCG Tennis Courts Saturday afternoon.
The Herd finishes the regular season with an overall record 17-6 and now looks to capture the Conference USA tournament championship next weekend at the University of Tulsa.
Isabell Raich and Dominika Zaprazna in first doubles, and the duo of Michaela Kissell and Deanna Bailey in second doubles both won their matches to earn MU the doubles point as the Herd led 1-0 heading into singles play.
Marshall then breezed through singles as MU won every match in straight sets. Kissell improved to 18-4 in first singles as she had little trouble with Alex Whitehead on court one, winning 6-1, 6-2.
Catherine Kellner became the first player to reach 20 wins for the Herd this season with a 7-5, 6-0 triumph in fourth singles over UNCG's Mikayla Rogers.
With her wins from first doubles and third singles, Raich recorded her 100th and 101st career victories at Marshall.
MU finishes the regular season with a combined singles winning percentage of .752. The Herd was an impressive 103-34 throughout the spring, while in doubles they posted a .623 winning percentage with a record of 43-26.
It will be a very competitive C-USA tournament in Tulsa as four nationally-ranked teams will shoot for conference supremacy. No. 29 SMU, No. 35 Tulsa, No. 41 Rice and No. 57 Marshall are the front runners to win the tournament which will be played on April 22-25.
