Marshall Swimming and Diving Releases 2010-11 Schedule

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall University swimming and diving program released its 2010-11 schedule on Thursday afternoon. The Thundering Herd is slated for 11 meets during the regular season, including hosting in-state rival West Virginia.
Marshall will open the season hosting Radford on Oct. 15 and will immediately turn around to travel to Cincinnati, Ohio, to face Xavier on the 16th.
After a week off from competition, the Herd will return to the friendly confines of the Frederick A. Fitch Natatorium to host in-state rival West Virginia on Oct. 23. They will then hit the road again on Nov. 5, for a tri-meet at VMI where they will also see competition in Gardner Webb.
MU hosts Youngstown State on Nov. 6 in its final dual of the fall portion of its schedule. The Herd will compete in the Doug Coers Invitational hosted by Ball State on Nov. 19 and 20 to close out the 2010 campaign.
After opening the 2011 slate with an away dual at Akron on Jan. 14, the Herd will host its final four meets of the regular season. MU faces Ohio on Jan. 18, Vanderbilt on Jan. 29, James Madison on Feb. 5 and the Marshall Invite on Feb. 18 and 19.
