HUNTINGTON, W.Va.- Marshall University women's soccer player Angela DeSumma (Doylestown, Pa.) was named to her second W-League Team of the Week on July 22. DeSumma's first Team of the Week honor came on July 1.

DeSumma, a member of the New Jersey Wildcats, tallied two goals and an assist in a 4-3 win against the New York Magic. The win sent the Wildcats to Atlanta for the W-League Eastern Conference playoffs. The Wildcats saw its season come to a conclusion falling to the Atlanta Silverbacks in the semi-finals.

"Angela's coaches and I are thrilled by the way that she has played this summer," Marshall head coach Kevin Long said. "She is an upperclassman now and players are looking up to her, we look forward to her building off her last two years. She has great momentum coming off the summer."

"Meghan Wetzel (Aiken, S.C.) also had a great experience with the Wildcats this summer and will be ready to contribute during her senior season," Long continued.
