Women's Golf Earns Four NGCA All-American Scholar Awards

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla.-The Marshall women's golf team had four of its members honored by the National Golf Coaches Association. Andrea Grier (Hagerstown, Md.), Larie Lynch (Huntington, W.Va.), Molly Ginger (Centerville, Ohio) and Samantha DiDomenico (Follansbee, W.Va.), were all named 2009-2010 All-American Scholars.
The award requires a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA and the student-athlete must have competed in at least 50% of the team's regularly scheduled competitive rounds. The NGCA announced a total of 494 women's collegiate golfers in the three divisions to receive the honor.
Grier, who is majoring management major and Lynch, a marketing major, each finished their final seasons with the Thundering Herd in May. The two seniors led Marshall this year with scoring averages of 78.5 and 77.5, respectively.
Ginger, who is majoring in sports management and marketing major, returns for her senior season with the Herd after competing in 22 rounds during the 2009-10 campaign.
DiDomenico, an accounting major, wrapped-up her first season with the Herd, shooting a collegiate career best 72 at the UNCG-Starmount Fall Classic in just her second tournament.
