Women's Golf Improves Eight Strokes on Day Two

LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Marshall women's golf team improved by eight strokes on day two of the Bucknell Women's Invitational at Bucknell Golf Club. The Herd earned a fifth place finish after shooting a 307 in the final round of action.
Bucknell posted a 296 (303-304-296=903) on Sunday afternoon to solidify the tournament victory in the 18 team event.
Molly Ginger (Centerville, Ohio) jumped 16 spots after carding a team-best 73 in the final round to finish tied for 26th (80-85-73=238).
Allison Harper (Upper Arlington, Ohio) shot her second 76 of the Invitational and earned a top-10 finish in her first collegiate tournament. Harper's 227 (76-75-76=227) was good enough for sixth place and was just six strokes behind the leader, Bucknell's Katie Jurenovich.
Elin Andersson (Stockholm, Sweden) shot a 78 on in the final 18 holes to tie for 21st and finish with a 236 (79-79-78=236).
Rachel Halloran (Leawood, Kan.) and Rachel Thompson (Mansfield, Ohio) rounded out the Lady Herd lineup, each carding an 80 on the afternoon.
The Thundering Herd return to action on September 20-21when they compete at the UC Women's Fall Classic in Cincinnati, Ohio.
