Swimmers Take To Akron

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - After a month-long hiatus from competition, the Marshall University swimming and diving team will open its Spring portion of its schedule when it heads to Akron on Friday to face the Zips at 5 p.m. in the waters of the Ocasek Natatorium.

The last time out, MU finished second in a strong showing at the Doug Coers Invitational in Muncie, Ind. on Nov. 20.

During the Fall, the Herd posted 11 performances that have ranked in the program's all-time Top 10 Performer record book.

Freshman Sarah Kay was named the Conference USA Swimmer of the Week on Oct. 29, for posting three career-best times against West Virginia.
