Goff Honored as Marshall Athlete of the Week

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Junior Robert Goff of the Men's Basketball team has been named Marshall's Athlete of the Week. Goff posted double figure point totals in each of his team's first two games this past weekend.

The newcomer for the Thundering Herd posted 13 points and 7 rebounds in his first appearance for the green and white against Alabama State. During Marshall's second game of the year against Jacksonville State, Goff was tops of the team with 12 points and pulled down 3 rebounds. The Indianapolis, Indiana native is currently the leading scorer for the Herd with a 12.5 average in points plus averaging five rebounds per game.

Goff and his teammates look to continue their strong start and improve to 3-0 when they host Northwestern State this Saturday at 7 p.m. inside the Cam Henderson Center.
