Huntington, W.Va. - After a solid performance and victory against Xavier, Marshall Swimming and Diving travels to Youngstown State to battle the Penguins in a meet Saturday at 2 p.m.

The Herd (3-2) will be looking to begin a winning streak after defeating the Xavier Musketeers at home last Friday. In the meet, Marshall was victorious in 12 events, defeating the Musketeers in both relay events, plus multiple wins from swimmers Sarah Kay and Kacey Preun and a recording setting day from diver Lauren Rone.

Rone became only the fourth diver in Marshall history to qualify for the NCAA Zone Diving Championships, after receiving a score of 281.55 in the one meter diving event. The score is also the highest one meter score in Marshall diving history. The junior was named Conference USA Diver of the Week after her accomplishments. It was Rone's first honor of her career.

Head Coach Russell Hunt is looking forward to what should be a test for his squad, "This will provide us with a road test and opportunity to see some players in some new events."

Youngstown State (1-1), after capturing their first victory of the season at Niagara last Saturday will look to defeat the Thundering Herd for the first time ever. Marshall holds a 9-0 all-time record against the Penguins.
