First Round Results

CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. - Marshall's Samantha DiDomenico (Follansbee, W.Va.) opened the University of Cincinnati Spring Invitational with a season-low 73, to lead the Thundering Herd to a first round total of 203, on Friday afternoon at the Plantation Inn Golf Resort and Spa.

Molly Ginger (Centerville, Ohio) is one stroke behind, with a 74, her lowest round of the spring season.

Freshmen Allison Harper (Upper Arlington, Ohio) and Rachel Thompson (Mansfield, Ohio) carded a 77 and 78, respectively.

Kaci Boyd (Ashland, Ky.) concluded first round action with an 85 on Friday.

The Herd stands in sixth place following the opening round, one stroke behind North Texas. Morehead State holds the lead following 18 holes of play, carding a 290. MSU's Paige Lausier shooting the low-round on Tuesday, 69.
