Three Golfers Earn Conference USA Academic Medals

IRVING, Texas - The Marshall women's golf team had two members receive Conference USA Academic Medals as announced today by Commissioner Britton Banowsky.

A total of 485 student-athletes have earned the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal during the 2010-11 academic year. Medals are given to those C-USA student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better.

Marshall earned 37 academic medals while Tulsa had the most winners with 57, followed closely by Memphis with 56 and East Carolina with 47. The number of medalists honored increased by more than seven percent from a year ago.
