HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Shonda Stanton and crew will trek to Orlando, Fla., over the weekend in search for three wins at Conference USA foe Central Florida. The doubleheader Saturday begins at 1 p.m. and the series will close out at noon on Sunday.

Marshall fell to 15-24 overall with a pair of losses in a non-conference matchup against 18th-ranked Kentucky on Wednesday at Dot Hicks Field. The Herd holds a 1-10 record in C-USA and looks to chalk up victories against a UCF squad that also sports a 15-24 tally on the year.

The Knights are 5-7 in conference action and are led offensively by Natalie Land who fronts a team-best 40 hits and 27 runs. In the circle the Knight pitching staff has a 3.38 ERA which holds at 2.47 in C-USA. Lacey Dinney (9-7) and Diana Rojas (6-9) split the majority of the innings in the circle - Rojas has an impressive 1.04 ERA in 40.1 innings of work in conference games.

The Herd is coming off 11 hits in its second game against No. 18 Kentucky on Wednesday afternoon, a much needed booster for a club that is hitting at a .241 clip. On the year Rebecca Gamby and Jazmine Valle pace the team with 28 hits a piece - Gamby also has a team-best 10 home runs and 23 RBI.

Erika Bennett continues to give Marshall depth in the circle as a go-to reliever who has a 1.80 ERA in 11.2 innings in conference play.
