Marshall Women's Golf Heads to Eastern Kentucky

RICHMOND, Ky. - Marshall women's golf sets its eyes on the EKU Lady Colonel Classic in its final tournament before the Conference USA Championship. The Classic is a two-day event featuring 13 teams, who are set to play 54 holes at the Arlington Golf Club on Apr. 9-10.



The tournament opens Saturday with 36 holes of action on Arlington's 5,801 yard course. Play will continue on Sunday with the final round of 18 holes. Both days will begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun starts.



The field consists of Arkansas State, Austin Peay, Bowling Green, two Eastern Kentucky teams, Morehead State, Murray State, Ohio, Southern Illinois, Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech and Toledo.



Marshall is coming off an 11th place finish at the University of Cincinnati Spring Invitational two weeks ago. Molly Ginger (Centerville, Ohio) and Allison Harper (Upper Arlington, Ohio) tied for a team-best 22nd place in the event, carding a 229.



Samantha DiDomenico (Follansbee, W.Va.) opened the tournament with her lowest-round of the year, 73. DiDomenico concluded the event with a three-round score of 235 (73-78-84=235).
