Conference USA Sport Academic Awards Announced

IRVING, Texas ¨C The Thundering Herd women¡¯s soccer team is the recipient of the Sport Academic Award, it was announced by Conference USA Commissioner Britton Banowsky.
The Sport Academic Award is given to the team in each conference©\sponsored sport with the highest GPA for the current academic year.
¡°It is yet another exclamation point on what has been a successful year for us,¡± head coach Kevin Long said. ¡°I am clearly proud of our accomplishments in the classroom and on the field. Our team has done a great job representing Marshall University.¡±
The team finished the year with an impressive cumulative GPA of 3.515.
