Cross Country Getting Set for EKU Relay Opener

RICHMOND, Ky. - The Thundering Herd cross country teams have been gearing up for the start of the 2011 season for several weeks now, and after all the hard work and dedication, it is finally time for the Herd to take to the course for the Eastern Kentucky University Relay.

Coach Jeff Small will lead Marshall into the meet - which is taking place for the sixth consecutive season - and will be looking to defeat the Colonels after losing in both the men's and women's brackets last year.

The men's race is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m., and the women are set for a 4:30 p.m. start. Both events will take place on Friday, September 2, in Richmond, Ky.
