HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Following a defeat Saturday to Akron, Marshall Swimming and Diving will look to rebound and hit the road to battle with the Ohio Bobcats Tuesday at 5 p.m.
The Herd (7-4) is still searching for its eighth win on the year after falling Saturday at home to Akron (3-3), 176-123. An eighth win would give Marshall the second most wins in program history.
During Saturday's meet freshman Kacey Preun continued to lead her squad this season with three victories, including a Fitch Natatorium record in the 400-yard individual medley with a mark of 4:30.13. Preun's other victories came in the 200-yard freestyle and 200-yard breaststroke. The win in the 200 breaststroke keeps her perfect record in the event intact.
Ohio is 5-1 following a victory on the road against Youngstown State Sunday. Marshall has never defeated the Bobcats in nine all-time meetings.
