HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- In the final weekend series of its 2012 regular season, Marshall women's soccer will travel south for Conference USA meetings against Southern Miss and No. 21 UCF.

Friday's match will take place against the Golden Eagles of Southern Miss at the Southern Miss Soccer Complex beginning at 5 p.m. ET. Kick-off for Sunday's match against the UCF Knights is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET at the UCF Soccer Complex.

Marshall, which will look to snap its current two-game losing skid, is 6-9-1 (2-5-1 C-USA) and will face a Southern Miss squad that has seen similar fortunes in 2012. The Golden Eagles (4-9-1, 1-6-0 C-USA) are riding a three-game losing spell and enter the weekend with only one goal in their last two games.

Junior forward Danica Roberts has five goals this season to lead a Southern Miss team that has found the net only 16 times in 14 games.

Marshall defeated Southern Miss 2-0 last season to extend its stretch of consecutive victories over the Golden Eagles to four games and improve its lead in the all-time series to 6-2.

The Knights, who rank No. 21 in the most recent NSCAA/ Continental Tire poll, enter the weekend with a record of 11-4-1 (5-3-0 C-USA). During the first two weeks of September, UCF used a five-game unbeaten tear to climb as high as No. 6 in the country. After a 2-1 overtime loss to the Memphis Tigers, UCF responded with victories in five straight matches to rise once again into the nation's top 10.

In more recent action, UCF lost two straight before narrowly defeating UTEP last Sunday.

Senior forward Nicolette Radovcic is UCF's scoring leader (nine goals) and ranks second in C-USA in scoring. Only Memphis' Christabel Oduro (11) has found the back of the net more than UCF's scoring star.

Last year's contest between the Thundering Herd and Knights (then ranked No. 16) went scoreless for 110 minutes of action as Marshall and UCF played to a 0-0 draw at Sam Hood Field.
