Herd Set to Compete in EKU Comfort Suites Tournament

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall women's basketball heads to Richmond, Ky. for the EKU Comfort Suites Tournament this weekend. The two-day event will begin on Friday with a contest against Jackson State at 4:30 p.m.
The Thundering Herd is currently 3-2 for the season and led by Shay Weaver with 10.6 points per game. The sophomore guard has made 12 three-pointers for the year.
Chukwuka Ezeigbo and Orlandria Williams each follow with 8.0 points per game each, while Ezeigbo is leading the Herd on the boards with 7.0 rebounds per contest.
Jackson State is 1-4 on the season, with its only win coming against Houston Baptist this past Friday. Tiffany Kellum is averaging 10.2 points per game and also leads the team in rebounds with 8.0 per game.
Depending on the winner of Friday's games, Marshall will either play at 2:30 p.m. or 4:30 p.m. against Presbyterian College or tournament hosts, Eastern Kentucky.
