HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - It is an accomplishment to earn a double-double in a basketball game. It is a rare accomplishment to record a triple-double in a game. Marshall-bound signee, Jenny Ramirez, surpassed both achievements and did something nearly unheard of in a basketball game and finished a league game (PSAL Manhattan-A West) this past Wednesday with a quadruple-double.

The 5-6 guard from New York City led her Lab Museum United high school team with 22 points, 11 assists, 13 rebounds, 10 steals, and three blocks. Her effort pushed Lab Museum United to a 62-60 overtime victory against league rival Beach High School.

"We are very excited for our future," commented head women's basketball coach Royce Chadwick. "Jennifer is putting up some huge numbers. A quadruple-double is a very, very rare thing. I cannot wait for her to get to Marshall."

Ramirez and her team will soon be playing in the PSAL Class A playoffs as a top-five seed. In last year's tournament, Ramirez scored 35 points in a playoff game and she will be looking to repeat the effort in hopes of a championship title this season.

Ramirez will be joined by fellow signees Fannisha Price and Norrisha Victrum as the freshman class of the 2012-13 season. For more information on the Marshall women's basketball signees, click HERE.
