Softball versus College of Charleston Cancelled Due to Rain

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. – The fifth game for Marshall softball during the College of Charleston Cougar Classic against the host has been cancelled due to rain.

Marshall was scheduled to play CofC at 2 p.m., but due to heavy rains overnight all games scheduled for Sunday at the classic have been cancelled.

The Thundering Herd (6-3) split the weekend, falling twice Friday but rebounded with two victories Saturday against Akron, 3-1, and Morehead State, 9-4 (5).

MU is back on the field next weekend as they head down to Orlando, Fla. to take part in the Citrus Classic at Walt Disney World’s ESPN Wide World of Sports. Game one for the Herd is scheduled for Friday at 2:30 p.m. against Maryland and will take on St. John’s at 4:45 p.m.
