UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- The No. 65 ranked Marshall University tennis team will head to Penn State this weekend for a set of matches against Penn State and Miami University (Ohio).

The doubleheader will mark the second weekend in a row that the 3-4 Thundering Herd has played against two opponents in a two-day span, and will pit the Herd against the 4-2 Nittany Lions and the 2-7 Redhawks.

No. 61 ranked Penn State will serve as Marshall's first opponent of the weekend in a 5:00 p.m. showdown at the Sarni Tennis Center on Friday. The Herd holds a 7-3 all-time advantage over the Nittany Lions, and defeated them 4-3 in Huntington last season.

The Miami University Redhawks will be Marshall's final opponent on the weekend, squaring-off against the Herd in a neutral site battle at noon on Saturday. The Herd is 15-3 all-time against Miami, but fell 6-1 to the Redhawks in Ohio last season. Marshall is 1-1 in neutral site matches this season.
