Herd Welcomes EKU for Sunday Showdown

HUNTINGTON, W.Va.- The 9-6 Marshall University women's tennis team will welcome the 9-5 Eastern Kentucky Colonels to the Brian David Fox Tennis Center on Sunday for a 1:00 p.m. match.

The Thundering Herd is riding a six-match winning streak after defeating Liberty, Virginia Tech, ETSU, West Virginia, Winthrop, and East Carolina during the run, and will be looking for win number seven when the Colonels set foot on the Herd's home court this Sunday.

The two schools have faced common opponents in Kentucky and Winthrop this spring, and while EKU fell to both, Marshall defeated Winthrop 4-3 in Rock Hill, S.C., last weekend. The Herd is 7-0 all-time against the Colonels and won last season's matchup 7-0 in Huntington.

Marshall is undefeated at home this season, and will be looking to reach double-digits in victories by maintaining that streak on Sunday. Live stats for the 1:00 p.m. match may be followed by clicking the link below.
