Women's Golf Conference Championships Underway

GULF SHORES, Ala. - Marshall women's golf will look to test their skill amongst conference foes in the 2012 Conference USA Championships in Gulf Shores, Ala. this week. The event will be a three-round event starting on Monday and lasting till Wednesday.
The tournament will start at 7:30 a.m. each morning and will take place on the par 72, 6,246-yard Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club golf course. This is the second straight year that the tournament has been hosted at the club.
Traveling for the final time in her career will be senior Maria Battaglia (Uniontown, Pa./Laurel Highlands High School). Accompanying Battaglia will be junior Kristyn Morrone (Pinehurst, N.C./Texarkana JC), sophomores Rachel Thompson (Mansfield, Ohio/Ashland High School) and Allison Harper (Upper Arlington, Ohio/Upper Arlington High School), and freshman Korakot Simsiriwong (Thailand/Starkville Academy).
