Herd, Wildcats to Play on ESPN2

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall's men's basketball game at Kentucky on Dec. 22 will be at 4 p.m. and broadcast nationally on ESPN2.

It will be the first meeting between the Thundering Herd and the defending national champions since an 89-67 win by the Wildcats on Dec. 1, 2003 in Cincinnati. It is the first time the Herd will visit nearby Rupp Arena since Nov. 16, 2001. UK leads the all-time series 11-0 including a 7-0 mark at home.

Marshall returns three starters and eight lettermen from last year's squad that went 21-14 overall, 9-7 in Conference USA and earned a bid to the National Invitation Tournament for the first time in 24 years. Marshall's entire non-conference schedule will be released at a later date.
