HAVE YOU HERD?
Last time out, the Thundering Herd finished its first Conference USA road weekend by dropping a match at Louisiana Tech, 2-0, and drawing after double overtime with Southern Miss, 0-0. Despite outshooting the Golden Eagles, 26-14, the overtime draw with Southern Miss extended Marshall's scoring drought to 357 minutes. The last time the Herd found he net was on the game-winning penalty kick versus Old Dominion, Sept. 27.

POINTS OF PRIDE
Eight members of the Herd have tallied a point so far this season, including six different goal scorers. Four Herd players have contributed their first points in a Marshall uniform this season.

FIRST OUT OF THE GATE
The Herd is 5-1-1 when leading at halftime this season, and 6-1-1 when drawing first blood. Marshall hasn't allowed a goal in the first half all year, outscoring opponents 8-0.

NO GOALS FOR YOU
So far this season, the Herd has tallied seven shutouts and is 6-0-1 when allowing zero goals. The team has allowed only eight goals in 13 outings (second in Conference USA), and each of the Herd's six wins are shutouts. With junior goalkeeper Lizzie Kish (Boyertown, Pa.) at the helm, Marshall is tied for second for goals against average (0.64) and is tied for third in shutouts (7).

KISH IS A KEEPER
Junior goalkeeper Lizzie Kish (Boyertown, Pa.) is moving up in the Herd record book. She now ranks third in program history for most shutouts in a season (7) and fourth for her career season total (7).

Kish earned Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week honors for her shutout performance against Miami (Ohio), Sept. 22. This is her first career C-USA Defensive Player of the Week award. She is the first Marshall player to gain this title since goalkeeper Lindsey Kerns did for the week week of Oct. 10, 2011. Kish is the third Herd keeper and fourth Marshall player all-time to gain the honors.

SCOUTING THE PIRATES
East Carolina is coming off a Conference USA road weekend, dropping matches at Old Dominion (2-0) and UAB (3-2). In the loss at UAB, the Pirates received a three-point performance from junior Kelly Miller, who scored the game's first goal in the 23rd minute, before assisting on junior Stephanie Seagrave's team-leading third goal of the season in the second half. Miller and Seagrave lead East Carolina with seven points apiece.

The Pirates lead the all-time series, 6-1-1, winning the last two meetings. Last season, Marshall faced East Carolina on Senior Night at ECU Soccer Stadium, when the Pirates captured a 1-0 overtime victory on a golden goal by Chrissty Gatz just four minutes into the period.
