Opening statement
"I feel like we won and I feel like we deserved to win. We shot a great percentage from the field on the day. We played zone for 30 to 35 minutes of the game. We have to continue to get better and come back and go to work tomorrow. We have a young and fragile team, but as you can see, they are competing. I thought we competed today, but we need to compete harder and overcome some obstacles. I am really proud of our effort today and I am proud of this team."
On what to improve on
"We will try to work on everything, but we have two days to prepare for Southern Illinois."
On what Indiana State did well |
"They knew how to create contact. They were very aggressive and they are known for being and aggressive team and I don't think today was any different. They did a really good job of getting to the free throw line against our zone (defense)."

On what to learn from the loss
"Like coach said, thank God we have another opportunity to get better. What's done is done and we can only learn and grow from this. We have 10 new faces, but collectively as a whole we have to continue to compete no matter what happens. We have two days of practice so we just have to get back out there."
