Williamson Named Student-Athlete of the Week

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Senior Andi Williamson recorded Marshall softball's first NCAA win in school history on Saturday and is this week's student-athlete of the week.

The Harts, W.Va. native recorded six strikeouts, one walk, one run, zero earned, in the Thundering Herd's 3-1 win over Notre Dame in an elimination game at the NCAA regional in Lexington, Ky.

Williamson (33-18) pitched all three regional games for the Herd. She totaled 26.2 innings, 463 pitches and 20 strikeouts while allowing six runs, four earned runs and 24 hits.
