HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Senior Crystal Walker placed third at the NCAA East Preliminaries in the long jump on Thursday and is Marshall's Student-Athlete of the Week.

Ranked fifth in the East entering the event, Walker had a jump of 6.26 meters which was good enough to qualify her for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships held in June 5-8.
