HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- The Marshall men's soccer team (2-4-2) lost 1-0 off a Francis Devries free kick goal against the Saint Francis Red Flash (5-4-1) in a non-conference matchup.
AGAINST THE RED FLASH
Francis Devries scored the lone goal of the match in the 42nd minute with a free kick to the upper right corner of the post for his fourth goal of the season. The Herd finished the game with 13 shots and 10 on goal. Saint Francis recorded 11 shots with three on target.
THE GRAY AREA
Marshall coach Bob Gray on the Saint Francis match:
"This is probably the best team we have played this season. We are probably a bit tired with this four-game road trip we have been on, but hopefully that will change when we get home on Saturday. We still have our chances, though, and will have to work on that from here on out."
On the next game for the Herd:
"Saturday is a huge Conference USA match against Florida Atlantic. We hope to have all the fans here for the green out we will be having."
