HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall women's golf will continue its fall schedule by competing at the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate, hosted by East Carolina. The two-day, 54-hole event will have 36-holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday with a shotgun start beginning at 8:30 a.m. on both days.
Live scoring will be available through GolfStat.com and final results will be posted to HerdZone.com.
HAVE YOU HERD?
Senior Sarah Helly (Enniscrone, Ireland) shot a career-low 1-over-par 73 in the final round to secure a career-best finish of ninth place at the Nittany Lion Invitational (Oct. 5).
Helly improved by one stroke from the second round, moving up nine spots to total 8-over 224 for the tournament. Classmate Korakot Simsiriwong (Narathiwat, Thailand) joined her in the top 20 at No. 16 with an 11-over 227. As a team, the Herd finished 13th at 78-over 942.
SCOUTING THE FIELD
Joining Marshall in the 18-team field are fellow Conference USA members No. 44 Middle Tennessee, Old Dominion and Western Kentucky. Rounding out the field is Appalachian State, East Carolina, No. 64 Elon, Gardner-Webb, No. 33 Georgia Regents-Augusta, Georgia State, High Point, James Madison, No. 51 Kennesaw State, Longwood, Radford, Richmond, William & Mary and Winthrop.
