TRAMEL TALK
Herd Coach Bill Tramel on the Meet
"We are happy to get the win against a strong Wright State team, but It's also tough to lose by only 1 point to IUPUI. We had our chances throughout the meet. The glaring difference was a line-up mistake I made. I simply lost my discipline and that turned out to be the deciding factor. Our girls fought down the stretch, but they couldn't make up for my gaffe."
"We had some ballers today. Nele Albers won three events, and doubled out of her 200 IM win to lead off our victorious 800 Free Relay. She broke the race open at the 4-5 turn of her relay leg and the race was over."
"KP (Kacey Preun) showed her usual toughness, doubling the 200 Breast & 500 Free back-to-back. I wonder how many people understand how difficult it is to do that double. And she won the 500."
"Emma Lockyer had an upset win in the 200 Fly. It was her first collegiate win and her time was not only a Lifetime Best, but also was the 8th fastest time in school history."
"I'm generally happy with what we did today, but we still have some people trying to figure out how to consistently perform in Division I swimming. We have one more opportunity to race before our mid-season rest meet. That will be Friday against Ohio U. It's at home in our pool, and it's also November 14, so that is obviously a special day for all of us at Marshall. I know we will be motivated to perform."
