HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall men's soccer sophomore Daniel Jodah (Mississauga, Ontario), was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Southeast Region Third team, the office announced today.
Jodah, a forward, scored five goals this season, leading the team in goals and points. He also produced three game winners for the Herd in 2014 and was the primary leader for Marshall's attacking line.
Jodah is the first Herd player to earn NSCAA honors for the Herd since 2012, when former goalkeeper Daniel Withrow was named to the first team.
Herd coach Bob Gray said he was pleased with Jodah's recognition and that Jodah should only continue to improve while at Marshall.
"We are happy for Daniel to get this kind of recognition," Gray said. "He had a solid sophomore year, including scoring several game winners in overtime. We anticipate that he will only get better next year and be an important part of our offensive production."
Jodah was also named to the Conference USA Second Team this season for his performances on the field. Jodah was one of 20 Conference USA players named to the three teams and was one of only seven sophomores on the team.
