HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall softball (15-23) will travel to Northern Kentucky on Wednesday in pursuit of the program's 600th win. The doubleheader that was originally scheduled for Tuesday was moved due to expectations of inclement weather.
The two schools met for the first time last season, when Marshall swept a doubleheader in Huntington, 6-1 and 4-1.

Senior Savanah Webster (Las Vegas) earned C-USA Hitter of the Week honors for her performance during the win streak. She lead the team with a .474 average, nine hits, two doubles, 17 total bases and a .895 slugging percentage. Webster went 8-of-12 with .667 average and 1.333 slugging percentage during the weekend sweep of Middle Tennessee.
With the series sweep, Marshall jumped from 12th place to a tie for sixth in C-USA, with the top eight making the conference tournament.
Marshall has four hitters batting over .300 - sophomores Kaelynn Greene (Eastvale, Calif.) (.381) and Shaelynn Braxton (Woodbridge, Va.) (.336), freshman Morgan Zerkle (Milton, W.Va.) (.319) and junior Kristina Braxton (Woodbridge, Va.) (.301). Greene leads the Herd with 51 hits, while S. Braxton ranks first with 11 home runs, 31 RBI and 76 total bases.
Freshman Jordan Dixon (Edmond, Okla.) earned all five victories for Marshall and improved to 12-15. She has recorded 150 strike outs this season and holds a 5.46 ERA.
SCOUTING THE NORSE (3-30)
Senior Dana Jarboe leads Northern Kentucky with a .300 batting average. Senior Dee Dee Davis has recorded a team-high 26 hits, five home runs, 47 total bases and .500 slugging percentage.

Freshman Alyssa Enrique leads the Norse with 23 appearances in the circle for a 2-7 record and 6.86 ERA. She has pitched 65.1 innings and recorded 26 strikeouts. Freshman Paige McQueen (1-5) and junior Kelley Benhase (0-1) also handle pitching duties for NKU. McQueen has made 13 appearances with six starts, while Benhase has come in in relief 14 times and started one game.
