HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall women's soccer (3-3-2, 0-0-0) will kick off its Conference USA schedule by hosting league newcomer Western Kentucky (5-2-0, 0-0-0) under the lights at Veterans Memorial Soccer Complex on Saturday, Sept. 27, at 7 p.m.

In addition to live tweets from @HerdWSoccer, live stats and live video will be available through the official Marshall Athletics website, HerdZone.com.

HAVE YOU HERD?
Despite a team-high fifth goal by senior Kristine Culicerto (Charlotte, N.C.), Marshall could not overcome a first-half deficit and fell, 2-1, to Miami (Ohio) on Friday at Miami Soccer Field. Miami led in shots (17-10) and corner kicks (8-6) while Lizzie Kish (Boyertown, Pa.) (3-3-2) made seven saves for the Herd.

LONG STORY SHORT
Quotes by coach Kevin Long:

On ending non-conference action and moving into Conference USA play:
"This was a game that demonstrated that we have work to do before Saturday [against Western Kentucky]. Miami is a good team. They played with the urgency that we'll see in conference play. We need to do a better job of showing up to play."
