Women's Golf Completes Day 1 at Redbird Invitational

NORMAL, Ill. - After two rounds at the Redbird Invitational, Marshall women's golf is tied with Evansville for 14th out of a 16-team field at Weibring Golf Club. The tournament will continue on Monday with a final 18-hole round set to begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. CT.
The Herd shot a 66-over-par 642 over two rounds, led by senior Korakot Simsiriwong's (Narathiwat, Thailand) 10-over 154. She sits in a tie with four other golfers at 21st in the individual field. Classmate Sarah Helly (Enniscrone, Ireland) follows with a 15-over 159 for 47th.
IN THE LEAD
Northern Illinois tops the pack with a 28-over 604, followed by host Illinois State (35-over 611), Ball State (38-over 614) and Butler (41-over 617).
AMONG THE HERD
