IRVING, Texas - Marshall women's soccer senior Jenna Dubs (Green Lane, Pa.) earned her fourth Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week honor, the league announced Monday.

She is the only player this season to earn the C-USA honor more than twice.

"She has been the most consistent player ever for the Herd and epitomizes all that we look for in a Herd student-athlete," Herd coach Kevin Long said. "She is strong, fit, competitive and fantastic in the classroom - a player that we have been able to rely on for each of her years here and deserves every bit of praise she has received this season. I look forward to her finishing her senior campaign with her teammates with the same success we have come to expect from her this season and for her career."

Marshall (12-3-3, 5-2-2) tied two team records in a 2-0 shutout of WKU on Friday. The Herd's 12 season wins and five C-USA wins are the most in program history, set in 2009 (12-7-0, 5-6-0).

Dubs tied Marshall record with her 76th consecutive start, tallying every match of her career. She played all 90 minutes in the backfield against the Hilltoppers, fending off 15 shots with three on target in the shutout. The Herd defense has not allowed a goal in 180 minutes, notching back-to-back blank sheets.

Dubs last earned the award on Oct. 5, and previously on Sept. 28 and 14. Other weekly honor recipients this season include goalkeeper Lizzie Kish (Boyertown, Pa.) on Sept. 28, forward Sydney Arnold (Stafford, Va.) on Aug. 31 and Sept. 21, and M/F Erin Simmons (Gahanna, Ohio) on Sept. 8. The eight awards are the most in a Herd season.

Marshall was ranked No. 55 in the NCAA RPI on Monday, second in Conference USA behind regular-season champion North Texas.
