HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Two members of the Marshall men's soccer team have been named to the All-Conference USA Second Team, the league announced Tuesday.

Senior defender Nick Edginton (Wellington, New Zealand) and junior forward Rimario Gordon (Kingston, Jamaica) were voted to the second team by the league's coaches.

Edginton has started every game for the Herd this season and serves as the team's anchor on defense and can also line up in the midfield. Known for his leadership, communication and determination, Edginton serves as the Herd's captain as well. While he does not always line up in attacking positions, Edginton also has two assists in 2015.

Gordon has impressed and built his reputation as a scorer in his first year with the Herd. The junior transfer from Northeast Texas Community College led the Herd with five goals, including three in Conference USA play. Gordon also was the co-leader in game-winning goals for Marshall with two.

"It is a well-deserved honor for both of them," assistant coach Thomas Olivier said. "Nick has been a steady and consistent player all season for us and Rimario can be a handful for other teams."

Edginton, Gordon and the Herd start Conference USA Tournament play on Wednesday at 7 p.m. against Charlotte.
