Dan D'Antoni, head coach
 On his young team's effort:
"It's going to take time to assemble this team. When you look at it toward the end, Ryan [Taylor] started getting with this group and moving the ball and started pressing. So with this team, give us time to build together. But they played hard and I was proud of their second effort."

On half the Herd's shots being from beyond the arc
"They are going to be threes when you don't swing the ball, move the ball and put energy in things because the defense is just going to load up and sinks back. We weren't forcing the play fast enough to create the angles to get in there. The second half we attacked the basket and the energy helps good shooting."

 C.J. Burks, redshirt freshman guard
On what changed from the first half to the second:
"We were all doing what we were comfortable doing. Nobody tried to get out of their comfort zone, and it looked a lot better than it did the first half. Nobody played selfish."

 Stevie Browning, junior guard
On what changed from the first half to the second:
"[We were being] aware, having a sense of urgency, but mainly just the energy on the bench and from the people on the court and from the crowd and in the ball movement."

 On playing with C.J. Burks:
"It puts me in a different mindset. It takes me more from a passer into a scorer, and honestly that's what I'm more comfortable being."

On difficulties shooting in the first half:
"We were all cold. I mean, we shot 26 percent from the field. You can't win games if you do that."
