SCOUTING THE BOBCATS

The Bobcats are unbeaten in their last three regular-season games at the Convocation Center, dating back to last year's home finale against Miami (Ohio).
Ohio is led by redshirt sophomore guard Jaaron Simmons' 15.8 points and 8.0 assists per game. Junior forward Antonio Campbell leads the team on the boards with 8.0 rebounds per game.
Tuesday will be the 101st meeting between the Herd and Bobcats in a series that dates to 1921. The 100 games are the Herd's second-most against a single opponent, behind 118 against Charleston (W.Va.). The series stands at 54-46 in Ohio's favor, with the Bobcats winning the last three meetings. Marshall's last win in the series came Dec. 4, 2010, in Athens, 65-57.
BURKS NAMED C-USA CO-FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Redshirt freshman guard C.J. Burks (Martinsburg, W.Va.) was named Conference USA Men's Basketball Co-Freshman of the Week, the league announced Monday. The honor is the first of Burks' career. Burks came off the bench to lead Marshall in scoring (14.5 ppg) and minutes played (31.5) over two games last week. He scored a team- and career-high 17 points against James Madison on Nov. 27, sinking four 3-pointers (4-of-7). He also added two steals against both Morehead State (Nov. 24) and JMU.
WHAT'S ON THE LINE
Marshall is looking for its first win of the 2015-16 campaign after dropping its first two on the road at Tennessee (Nov. 19) and Morehead State (Nov. 24), and falling to James Madison (Nov. 27) at Cam Henderson Center.
