@Herd_Tennis Faces Houston Sunday

HOUSTON -- No. 62 Marshall tennis (11-5) will conclude its Texas road trip, taking on former Conference USA rival No. 48 Houston Sunday, March 22 at the John E. Hoff Courts in Houston.

HAVE YOU HERD?
The Marshall-Houston face off will be only the third meeting in playing history. The first time the teams met was in 2009, resulting in a Cougar 5-2 win, but in the last meeting, the Herd knocked Houston out of the 2013 Conference USA Tournament (4-3).
Rachael Morales (Reynoldsburg, Ohio), who has clinched two deciding matches this season for the Herd, is on a five-match winning streak. The sophomore has only dropped two matches this season (11-2).
Sophomore Anna Pomyatinskaya (Sochi, Russia) still leads the team in singles wins at 12-4.
SCOUTING THE COUGARS
Houston is currently on a ten-match winning streak (14-4), matching the second-longest winning streak in Cougar tennis history. The team's latest win was a 7-0 sweep over East Carolina.
The Cougars team features two ranked singles players--No. 33 Despoina Vogasari (13-3), and No. 107 Elena Kordolaimi (16-1). Together, the duo posts a 6-5 at the number 1 position in doubles.
