Simsiriwong's consistent play led to two rounds of 5-over 77 for 10-over-par on the first day. Heading into the final round, she is tied with two other golfers for second, just one stroke behind Jacquelyn Eleey of host Georgetown. Eleey shot 4-over 76 in the first round and 5-over 77 in the second round for 9-over 153.
Additionally, Marshall placed two other golfers in the top 10, with Helly and Pimrawee Huang (Nakkornpatom, Thailand) at fifth and 10th, respectively. Helly shot 11-over 155 and Huang carded 15-over 159.

PRATS' POINTS
Quotes by Coach Tiffany Prats:
On the team's performance on Day 1:
"The first round today was very disappointing but the girls fought to get it back in the second round. As a team we are only five shots back which can be made up in a few holes if the girls go out and play their own games. They are all capable of playing good golf and we need all five girls to put up a number that can help us win. This is the first time this year that out team has been in contention going into the final round. So we are focusing on staying in the present, one shot at a time. It's going to be a fun day and I know this team can get the job done."
On the seniors:
"Gone [Simsiriwong] didn't play her best today but she kept herself in it. Tomorrow the key for her will be to stay patient and enjoy herself. Sarah [Helly] is only two shots back of the lead. She played well tee to green; she just didn't have many putts fall. Tomorrow if she goes out and plays her game I will be looking for a battle between her and Gone. Gone and Sarah can both go low on this course so I'm really looking forward to watching them tomorrow."
