Saturday Softball Game Time Moved to 10 a.m.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall softball team (23-10, 4-5) is looking to extend its five-game winning streak this weekend as it will return to Conference USA action to play North Texas (14-19, 6-6) in a three game series. The series will start Friday with a 1 p.m. double header.
Saturday's lone game has been moved from a noon start to 10 a.m. Additionally, the Lil' Sis Day which had been scheduled for Saturday, has been moved to Saturday, April 18 for the home series against FAU.

TOP 50 RPI, TOPS IN STOLEN BASES
Marshall is currently ranked No. 46 in the NCAA RPI. That is third among Conference USA teams. Western Kentucky is ranked No. 33, while Florida Atlantic is No. 39.
Overall, Conference USA has nine teams in the top 100 of the RPI, second only to the SEC.
Marshall also is still ranked No. 1 in stolen bases in Division I, with 3.06 per game.
FANTASTIC FRESHMEN
Marshall has been bolstered this season by the contributions of many of its freshmen. Six of the seven freshmen have made appearances and five of the seven have made starts this season.
Three freshmen, Elicia D'Orazio, Kylie Howard and Taylor McCord have more than 20 starts this season. D'Orazio has a .355 average and has been a key addition at second base. Howard has primarily played at shortstop and McCord has helped to bring depth to the catcher position, earning starts there and also as a designated player.
Madi Marshall and Jordan Colliflower have helped the Herd on the basepaths this season. Marshall has eight runs scored, while Colliflower has nine. Marshall made her first hit against Furman last weekend, while Colliflower earned her first start and hits against Wright State on Tuesday. Pitcher Marissa Bethke has three appearances this season.
SCOUTING THE MEAN GREEN
North Texas is 14-19(6-6 in C-USA). The Mean Green is currently on the outside of the Conference USA tournament picture, in fifth place in the West Division.
The team has lost its last five games, coming off an eight-game win streak.
Taylor Shoblocher (.447 average) and Danielle Hoff (.366 average) lead the Mean Green offensively. Schoblocher has 11 home runs this season, which leads the team.
