A combined eleven finishes in the top 10 along with seven top-10 team finishes highlight the Thundering Herd women's golf class of 2015. The senior tandem of Sarah Helly (Enniscrone, Ireland) and Korakot Simsiriwong (Narathiwat, Thailand) have shown undeniable leadership among their teammates, posting Marshall's top two scores at nine different events over the past two seasons. Together, they guided the Herd to a record finish at the highly competitive 2015 Edwin Watts / Kaiwah Island Classic, placing 13th out of 40 teams on March 3.
"Gone [Simsiriwong] and Sarah [Helly] have been tremendous leaders this year," coach Tiffany Prats said. "With a coaching change you never know what to expect from your seniors and I have been very lucky to have these two girls as mine. The younger players look up to them and strive to impress them. They have both bought into my vision for the program and not only has that helped the team as a whole, but it has also helped their own games. These girls are wonderful young women who have very bright futures. I will miss the two of them greatly but I look forward to seeing what their futures hold. They will forever be a part of the Marshall family."
Marshall Athletics would like to recognize and honor the Thundering Herd women's golf class of 2015.
