FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Through 36 holes at the 2015 Conference USA Championship, sophomore Pimrawee Huang (Nakornpatom, Thailand) continues to lead Marshall women's golf with a low total of 1-over-par 145 at Verandah Club.

After posting a career-low 70 in Monday's first round, the newcomer shot a 3-over 75 on Tuesday and now sits in 12th place individually. Senior Sarah Helly (Enniscrone, Ireland) had the Herd's best round of the day at an even 72 and is one stroke behind Huang with a two-day total of 2-over 146 in 15th place. Classmate Korakot Simsiriwong (Narathiwat, Thailand) also bettered her score from the previous round by two strokes, carding a 2-over 74 and totaling 6-over 150 in 28th place.

The Herd is in 10th place moving into the final 18 holes at 25-over 601, one stroke behind Western Kentucky, UTEP and UAB, all of which are tied for seventh place.

ON THE LEADERBOARD
Middle Tennessee kept its hold over the field with an 8-under 568 total, eight strokes ahead of FIU (even 576). The Blue Raiders' Samantha Gotcher also kept her lead, shooting a 5-under 67 for a 36-hole total of 9-under 135. She is six strokes ahead of FIU's Megan MacLaren (3-under 141).

PRATS' POINTS
Quotes by Coach Tiffany Prats:

On today's performance:
"Today on the front nine the scores reflected how good this team can be. We were 3-under-par through nine holes and only 3-over through 15 holes. Today was a clear indication that we weren't mentally committed through all 18 holes. It's tough to swallow that finish but the girls hit so many great shots, I can't complain. This is a process and results won't come overnight. Though the number doesn't reflect it through 15 holes this team played their best golf of the year. We are in 10th after two days but we can still move up the board and have a good finish. The key will be to have all five girls commit 100 percent to playing one shot at a time and staying focused for 18 holes."

On the seniors' last round on Wednesday:
"It will be Gone [Simsiriwong] and Sarah [Helly's] last round so I hope that we can post our season-best round and end on a high note for them."
