HUNTNGTON, W.Va. -- Marshall softball (33-13) dropped a 3-1 game late Tuesday against the Liberty Flames (28-28) at Dot Hicks Field.
AGAINST THE FLAMES
Liberty scored two runs in the first after a Madison Kotchey double scored two runners to give Liberty the early lead.
Marshall added its only run of the ballgame in the bottom of the first, when junior Shaelynn Braxton singled to left, scoring sophomore Morgan Zerkle.
Liberty added its final run of the day after a homer by Jamie Crisp made the score 3-1.
