Herd Poised for Chattanooga Classic

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Heading into the final stretch of the regular season, Marshall women's golf will compete at the first Chattanooga Classic in Chattanooga, Tenn., beginning on Monday, April 6.

HAVE YOU HERD?
Led by senior Korakot Simsiriwong (Narathiwat, Thailand), Marshall earned its best finish since 2011 by taking runner-up honors at the Hoya Invitational at Four Streams on March 31. The Herd carded a three-round total of 85-over-par 949 for second, marking its best team performance since it championed the Wendy's Invitational in Charleston, S.C., on Oct. 18, 2011. Simsiriwong combined three rounds of 5-over 77 for a total of 15-over 231, just one stroke out of first place and finishing fourth behind three top finishers.
SCOUTING THE FIELD
Participating teams (10): Central Arkansas, Chattanooga, Dalton State, Dartmouth, High Point, Lee, ULM, Marshall, McNeese State & Western Kentucky. Individuals from Jacksonville State (2) & Vanderbilt (4).

Council Fire Golf Club -- Chattanooga, Tenn. -- Par 72 -- 6,070 yards
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
The 10-team field will tee off on Monday morning at 9 a.m. and play 36 holes, with the final 18 holes starting on Tuesday at 9 a.m.Â
