LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Marshall softball's game against Kentucky on Wednesday has been cancelled due to rain and lightning.
The game was scheduled to start at 6 p.m., but rain in the vicinity forced the field crew to place a tarp on the field before play. After that, thunderstorms forced repeat stoppages in preparation.
There is no word as of yet for a makeup date for the contest.
